Drop Shot

Just a quick question. I am new to drop shot fishing and will be trying my hand at Bhanga Nek in December. Now, do you think that a 7" Shimano Scimitar with a Shimano Sedona 2500 will do the job?

We will be targetting spotted snappers, Rock Salmon and Greenspot Kingfish.

They gonna bend you on that rod !

Nothing wrong with the rod, but those are strong fish !

If possible look for a Med Heavy rod. If not possible you will have to almost "straight stick" them, depending on the size of the fish ofcourse
