Hey,
Is it worth while fishing at doordekraal,,I want to get a license but do not really want to pay for so much for something Unnecessary.Would you recommend the spot?I am usually into carp. Thank you for reading and helping!

i find them dam worth it, and if u look at it 140 a year, u can fish for 8 months, it will work u out R17.5 if u fish there once a month, only crap part is that there are only two fishing spots

Does the fish make it worth while..??and only 2 spots to fish from..?I know about the one spot close to the parking,there is usually people fishing there and about 150m left there's another spot,but what about the other side.. And if you could get o thr island,would you recomend it? On sunday a went for a walk at the dam..there where also a fewe people fishing.I have heard stories that it is extremely Difficult to land a big carp there?

the spots u can fish on the otherside have overgrown... there is a lot of structure in the dam, so the big carp can be difficult to land, that island is an awesome spot, if u do some searchs on doordekraal u will see maps with certain structure u can aim for... the fish there put up an awesome account for their weight, caught i 5kg there the once and i thought i might be in for a pb.... biggest i caught there so far is an 8.9

i know of monsters. Dont want go on, all i can suggest is an unlocking mat and knotless net.(please not starting a debate here) Awesome carp in there, and very nice waters. Try keep the spots clean after fishing. Otherwise the residents will take this dam away from us too.

Unhooking mat??by how do you meen the island is a great spot, to fish from or to cast your line.I live close by so I think this would be the spot for me.. I also agre with keeping the place clean and with the fish Mentioned this is surely not the dam to lose.I love the nature so that part would not be a problem..Is there only carp in the dam or more?

Een van my makkers was 2 weke terug daar en se die gras groei redelik diep die dam in en dit bemoeilik dit om 'n vis uit te kry
