There's a couple of dams near Crocodile bridge gate to the KNP infact if you on the dam you can see the camp. There are humongous Bass and some good size tiggers but you have to pay R50 per person for the day.
Be warned there are many Knersisis in Komatipoort. There are better dams with beeger fish but you will need to get hold of Willie Horn as only he has permission to utilize them

I am very familliar with the Sappi dams lived in the plantation for nearly ten years. Vygeboom according to me is overrated, only coaght one bass there and have been there a lot of times. I have fished at the Tecklenbergs a few times, I am friends with Uncle Mark Tecklenbergs sons. I was looking for alternative spots, any ideas?

Baardman the best advice I can give you is get hold of Shawn at Barberton engineering and talk to him. He fishes the whole lowveld area. Other dams to consider. Westoe, Chrissiesmeer, Nooitgedaght. Regarding Vygeboom I fished there a lot it was our clubgrounds when I lived there and the intake or on the channel side was always very productive. You need a boat to get to these spots. John Harris who works at Makonjane mine is a ex ZIM bass champion will also be a good person to talk to.
I was chairman of the Barberton Police angling club for about 5 years. When you pass the Lions club waters on the bend and going towards the lodge our club waters were opposite their gate.( the very last grounds on the right ) Nic de Witt is currently chairman.
