Hi Pieter :welcomesea:

Maby post this topic under the freshwater section. Im sure you will find more input over there.

I haven't done any freshwater for the last 10 years, but this is what i did to make my own dips.

1. Gliserine is good, but very sweet. The consistency can be reduced by using some distilled water. Also you can Buy Egg Yellow, Floroucine etc from a company in Pta by the name of Pack and Spice.

2. Experiment with Gelatine. Get a chef or some body to work out the exact mesurements as to make your own type of jelly base dips. This work extremely well wit floro, almond, banana etc. You can even use it on your ground bait.

3. If you can get your hand on some cochineal (A red colour agent that is made from a plant in Zimbabwe, extremely scarce in SA) you can do the same thing with that. Works well in Bronkies, Harties etc.

Enjoy.:wfish
