Good Evening Friends

I just recently joined Sealine and this my first post .

We have planned a winter trip to Dimalachite and I am very excited .
I am new to conventional carp angling and would appreciate any advice on this venue .

We will be camping and have booked stands 1 to 3 .

Please assist .

Regards

The venue is usually full during the warm weekends, a lot of line pressure. Sometimes you do well, other times not so well. I cant comment on whether it is necessarily over-fished.

Dimalachite is quiet in Winter. In summer its quite full
Dont cast to far. only 30-40 meter. Halfway across the river is a sandbank. Ive seen in the same day 3 x 8 kg carp coming out on floaties + I caught a 8.5 kg yellow on tigernut. Those carp were caught on garlick floaties

Lots of large muddies 2 meter from bank so great for kids
Caramel mielies is a winner
Banjoo is a winner

Ive in the past had to pull my lines out as it was just too busy..a bite every 10 mins

I personally will put the wife and kids rods on mielies and caramel or banjo and then my own on tigers and pop ups

You need a net with the longest handle you can buy. Trust me. Loooonnnngggg handle

Its a fantastic place, very very pretty and family friendly

Awesome, please post how you did this weekend when you are back, would love you here about the current conditions . Will you be targeting barbel as well ?

We will be going in winter , so we are hoping it will not be so busy. I would imagine it will be very busy this long weekend.

Did you book stands or chalet ?
