Crayfish washed up.

better half took some photos of juvenile crayfish found washed up mouille point.. didn't bring it home was worried it might be infected with red tide or something

a great bait it could of been even though undersized lol

Water does not look like redtide,but if so, redtide does not make them poisonous. You can eat them.Just stay away from shellfish

Have not heard of red tide of late. If it is red tibe the crayfish would walk out in large numbers to get away from red tide - as it depletes the water of all oxygen.

Stay away from crayfish - they are also shellfish the same as mussels

Saw some redtide between Yzers and Dassen yesterday.
