Competition requirements

Hi Sealiners,

I did a searches and could not find anything about this on Sealine.

Anyway, I want to join a freshwater angling club so I can participate in angling competitions but I have no clue where to start. :first

Firstly, I was hoping I could get some advice on where to start finding an angling club to join. Secondly, what will I need/require to participate in competitions (ie. equipment, license, etc.)? A general overview will be great.

Also, can you describe what a days proceeding at a competition entails.

This topic will be a great help to others as well who are in a similar positions as I am. If this topic can give a good overview of competitions requirements than, we all can learn a lot and be better anglers.

Thanks Naruto. Those topics are really helpful. The second topic is amazing (I will keep that topic close to me at every fishing trip from now). I am in the exact position as you were in and its exactly what I am hoping to do.

However, I dont know any angling clubs and where to find them. Can someone suggest any clubs and maybe a contact number for some clubs? That would help a lot and will a be good start for me. If you dont want to post the clubs details on the topic, you are most welcome to pm me with the details. Also, does one need to be invited as a guess?
