Circal hooks for carp. . .

hi guy's i have a wide asortment of circal hook's that i normaly used for saltwater fishing i have small one's that i want to use for carp angling .

Is it wize to do so?
Any pro's and con's?

Ek persoonlik dink jy gaan baie vis verloor met sirkel hoeke. Die rede hoekom ek dit sê is die manier hoe Karp vreet. Hulle suig die kos op en 'spoeg' die kos dan weer uit totdat hulle tevrede is dis iets wat hulle kan eet en dan eers sluk hulle die kos. Dit is tydens die 'uitspoeg' slag dat jou hoek aan die Krap se bek/lip hak en dis oor die rede hoekom ek dink sirkel hoeke gaan nie so lekker werk vir Karps nie. Baber is heeltemal 'n ander storie en sirkel hoeke werk mooi vir hulle. Jy moet egter net afleer om te kap as jy babers target met sirkel hoeke anders kap jy die hoek uit sy bek uit.

I have been using the VMC circle size 6 , and havent lost any carp on them yet. The trick

is to remember to just pick up the rod when the fish is running and not to strike.

My fishing partner has also changed over to circle hooks for carp after he used one of my traces.

The circles work fine with baited hooks but not with specimen style fishing as the hair employs the J hook flipping over and hooking the bottom Jaw.

With bit fishing try to rather fish the smallest hooks for the size fish you're targetting

I fish

0.5 = 100gr-1kg
0.8/1 = 800gr-3kg
#2 = 2kg-5kg
#3 = 3kg - 20kg of 1kg and bigger in snags
