check this blacktail

my dad went to sea today. emailed me these pics

first one is a lekker big blacktail he got on a poensie bait, seeing this big black thing coming up at him he thought it was a galjoen, but no just a veeery dark blacktail. Caught 10m deep off st. francis point

he also got a nice little yellowbelly, unfortunately after tagging 6 big romans there were none left to poke into this guy

Hi....is it depth or age that makes it that dark or just terrain???

dont know? they caught some other blacktail and they were the standard silver.. size doesnt seem to be a reason as I've caught one average blacktail (30cm) that was also nearly as dark as this one... maybe when they are under caves they get very dark, but thats just a guess

I have caught them black like that before and then also STD silver ones between.

Also caught Zebra that dark before?
