Changing Hooks

Hey Buddies!

Might be a silly one but it is bugging me, when you hook a carp should you change the hook? I figure Carp don't munch carp so a hook smelling of carp might just put the fish off? Or should you have some sort of item around to clean the hook off.... or am I just being dumbass!

Some days the tempo gets so hectic that changing hooks after each catch is definately not an option.

Scent isn't a problem, rather inspect the hook (for sharpness & shape) and the hooklink (wear 'n tear, especially in when fishing in snaggy/crabby areas)

cool, was just wondering as it has been made clear that Carp have an extremely heightened sense of smell so I was investigating the fact that in general the smell of a fish is a lot stronger than that of most baits and from there was wondering if Carp like the smell of a hooked fish??????

Maybe if you hook a female it makes the male fish amped and you get more male fish bites lol
