Hey guys, might sound silly but I have been told that after you have a decent sized eel on your line you should change tracer, hooks and take off a bit of the line because of the slime they produce it chases away fish?
Not after a catfish. Def. after catching an eel. The eel twists and turns and knots itself around your line. The slime stays behind on the line. To get the slime off is a mission, so it is easier to take a bit of line off.
This bugger bent my hook right open and correct the trace was cooked. I was cooking Boerie at the braai in the evening and remembering that eels blank stare gave me heebeegeebees!
