Just came back from cape vidal today
first few days the awful nort easterly making it impossible to catch, one small queenfish in that weather....on a spoon (silver topwater shad spoon.)
when the wind stopped and came from south- caught 5 shad, next day I caught 9, then they were gone again only found some near the rocks on an onda spoon. Saw nothing coming out at the lite house as well.
the days I caught five and nine I used a 7cm pink spoon/jig (almost like onda) bit thinner and heavy for its size. its pink on top, treble and has 2 fish like eyes in front, it worked verry verry well while people with other spoons got nothing. i unfortumately lost the spoon and after that couldnt get any much else......Anyone know what this spoon/jig is called?
(road from pongola to piet retief still under construction- added appr. 2 hours to my normal driving time)
