I made this for a friend for his pub. Not meant to be functional.

Made from American Ash, Tamboti, .6 mm veneer of various types of wood and Imbuia dowels (inlayed).

The basic shape and idea was inspired by benniejordaan.

The "pedestal/stand" was inspired be tauruck.

Thanks, but the quality is not nearly as good as yours. I battled with the varnishing. May have to talk to you one day re. proper technique.

Parque ? is normally made from Zimbawe Teak. Should be very nice

whats the grain like in the Zim teak ? had some with very open grain was a bitch too sand and seal.

I never worked with Zim teak but it looks stunning on floors.

Should be pretty hard though considering the application
