Hi

went to buffelspoort this morning and this is my report back on it.

Weather was over cast with slight rain

water was moderatly warm.

Caught six fish in 45min near the boat club , just off the jetties . biggest was 1.1kgs smallest 400g . weather took a turn for the worse after those 45 min so i headed home.

Used a spinner bait and a brush hog . the spinner caught the biggest fish but the brush hog got the most bites.

I also noticed that you personal best and the largest fish caught at Buffelspoort is the same weight so congrats on that also!

Spinnerbaits and chatterbaits always work for bigger fish at buffels. But i think the plastic work due to the weather condition. How fast were you fishing?

Buffels is around 40km before Rustenburg if i am not mistaken

well i always varied my retrieve speed with the spinner( which was a shartuse and white jig with willow leaf blades) . i retrieved the brush hog very slow (jerking it). i caught the biggest bass with a fast retrieve . im a beginner and im not sure y the speed makes a diff if u could plz tell me id be grateful.

i live in centurion and it is plus minus 100km from my house towards harties. its near witbank if that helps

It's almost right next to Mooinooi, on the N4 on your way to Rustenburg ...

I'll be at Buffelspoort last weekend of April. Whats da boat launcing like and whats da fees. Where launch...........boat club? and can I use my outboard as well?? What about some advise for hot spots & bait plse?
