Bon Accord

Good afternoon

I need some help.

I am planning to go fishing at Bon Accord Dam in about 3 week's time.

Is it at all a good dam to go fishing or should it rather be avoided.

I've done a search here on Sealine & couldn't really find any good reports of this dam. vvbafvv

I don't want to plan the trip, just to get there & have a sucky weekend's fishing. uke

Please help, ASAP!

yeah rather do n bit more efoort and head to harties or vaalkop... bon accord is a stormwater cathment dam, alot of mud and slit and bodies etc hehe

same stuff that works at Roodeplaat should work at Bon Accord,
which side you planning to fish?

I am thinking of sitting on the side opposite Onderstepoort Nature Reserve. I hear it is call the Boatside??? Basically the side next to the R101 (Lavender Road).

I don't really know the place at all. I have only heard of the dam & want to go check it out.

Where I am planning to go, I hear there is a bar & a swimming pool & the boats are launched there????

The fishing is not that bad

tons of realy small carp 200g-500g same size baber as well

But like they say a lot of damduiker doef doef during the weekend an broken bottels in the dam so beware

 

Roodeplaat might be slow on the bite but its safe and you have a chance at catching decent fish

while you wait keep yourself busy with some kurper fishing lots of kurper !!
