hi all,

i have seen a few decent pics floating about here on some surf launching photos, I am busy with an ad and designing some brochures and need a few action pics. if you have any that you dont mind sharing, even if they are hairy launches(even better) but just some good general skiboating photos would help.

you can mail them to me at snrtackle@gmail.com

thanks

Hi

I have a CD of the Mynmanne Angling Comp at Sodwana of a couple of years ago with excellent surflaunching action. Check on the following website of www.myn-manne.co.za I am not sure if it is possible to get the photos downloaded from the website. It was the 2006 comp. I can get the CD to you sometime in Pretoria or Joburg.

Cheers

HI

Come visit next weekend 22-24 May. If you can, as I will also be at the farm. I have chalets open for that weekend. But let me know when you are available. I would like to chat to you about Marlin rigs and other baits. My main aim for the next summer is to get a Billfish on my boat and surely release it. Strange talking of that I could not believe the older generation of fishermans' reaction when I released a sailfish at my first deepsea competition. It was unheard of at that time. Now most of the comps  promote catch and release. Your boat's name also make sense but I never catch that sort of fish. I have fillet and released some snapper for breakfast at Sodwana sometime but wont talk to much about it.

Cheers

Hi Reef Raider,

See you are in my valleys!

Very nice pics...feel sorry for some of those boats and okes though!

I like this informative one where it's shown how little boats are made   :)

To add to that,

I have seen okes overshoot the sand and drive their boats halfway up the concrete slip at Shelly Beach at high tide

Never saw, but believe one oke followed a swell in and landed up in the tidal swimming pool !

Inexperience/ lack of local knowledge= CRUNCH !

Asking for broken boat, crew, equipment or all of the above. Only valid excuse for that is he really needs a cr@p or he heard there was free beer on the beach.
