Just got back from the Junior Nationals
Verlatens is not fishing great at the moment, the dam filled from 17% to 87% so all the grass and bushes make fishing a nightmare in certain spots as you get ZERO traces and fish out.
Brandon fished right at the end of Verlatens (ie the Western side of the Bamboesspruit (directly below the 2 cement resevoirs and got 40kg in 5 hours with his feeder rod at an average of over 2kg per carp and on his barble rod he got a few cats of between 15-18kg.
I would seggest fish a few spots and determine your area that works before setting camp up.
