BERG River STEENBRAS

Did the fatal mistake yesterday and stopped by another 'Omie'' to ask if he landed anything yet...
He just ..'nonchalantly' pointed towards the back of his bakki..!!
2 'Gorgeiaas' looking Steenbras...!! Made my day just to know the 'berg'' still delivers...

Interesting: The Omie used river mud-prawns.., NOT the red /orange sand prawns pumped from the beach. He also used a Fixed anchor instead of sliding weight..!!??

Sjoe where along the Berg river was this? My grandparents live in Velddrif, but I have never been lucky enough to catch anything there on lures. Mainly try infront of their house, but I am thinking I need to move around to different spots lol

As ek moet dink aan wat ek als al gesien het, dan dink ek by Veldrif, Laaiplek etc is daar nie 'n ding soos bag limits of size limits nie...

'raving...Diode.." ; Ja man ..., ek stem saam met jou .., die ouens in Velddrif ken nie van undersize .., bag limits en sulke goed nie ...!!!??
Die Steenbras is langs Tenyana's gevang .., van die pub se kant af ..., daar is blykbaar orals n paar gate wat die grootes oplewer.., rond om en by die Carinas brug....

Pieter: I agree wholeheartedly with you my friend.., respect the size and limits...!! Although .., in the Anglers defense.., there were two guys fishing on the jetty.. ,and I didn't think of asking if they both only caught one each.
Me personally ...?? ; Would like to see the BIG ones being landed , Snapped .., and released to keep on breeding.. in order for our descendants to have just as much fun...
