A friend went there, shot a 60kg plus GT. Was huge, but boat scale couldnt weigh it was only weighed up to 60kgs and bottomed it out. GHe shot it, lost his gun, then saw it a while later towing the float around. put 2 more shots in before landing it.

Inside Angling at 5:30pm this afternoon on SS1 will be the 2nd part of Craig and Andy liveaboard trip to Bassas. The place is INSANE!!!! Fishing is INSANE (and I think Andy Coetzee is INSANE - he was doing a sleepover on the wreck in your pic. At least I think it's that one.)

If the opportunity presents itself (and Lotto provides the bucks to do the trip). I would be there in the blink of an eye........... Be interesting to see what species they mix it with in this episode.....

I spent 5 nights on the way sailing to Madagascar about 13 years ago. It is amazing. The tide goes out so fast that large fish get caught in rock pools that you could pick them up with your hands. Unbelievable. The diving is amazing as it is an atol and litarally drops straight down into the ocean. Picture this, we anchored the in 30m of water and on the low tide we where no more than 5m from the dry reef another 10mmore away from the reef we could not get a depth sounding - DEEP

Hey Paul, not sure. The camera footage just showed him with a rod! No blankets, bedding - nothing!

Yup, One day!!!!!

Its been a dream of myself and some friends and family to make this once in a lifetime trip so I've done some research on getting a boatful of spearo's up there and it seems more accesible these days. We got a deal of R24000 + flights from the friendly people on Yacht Sarah. If all goes well we will be up there in October. www.sarah.co.za
