how can i explain this? cut the frozen bloodworm down the tube thus making it resemble red pastry(flat) then put a piece of tenderized chokka with tenticals on the hook.then surround the chokka with the bloodworm. and add cotton.hope this makes scene. and and i only do this with frozen bloodworm, freshly pumped goes strait on the hook

Not sure what your blood worms are like, but I use our worms Black lug/gullys or Yellow tail worms we call them, I slide one worm up and over the hook onto snood then cut a long thin (same diameter of worm, tenderise it a bit and put that on hook like the chokka blob bait,

;)

Yeap...close by to me is the Knysna lagoon...where a few 'Broomsticks' have been pumped/pulled out.

Those large chaps are becoming less frequent due to sand build up, closing their holes.

Some folk rather prefer the smaller/shorter worm, which are easier to rig up and obviously easier to cast out.
