Bad braid experience on spinning reel

OK ...so I took the plunge yesterday, and got some Suffix 12lb braid for my bass spinning reel ... this was not the first time I use braid, as I have it on my Daiwa SL 50 for saltwater angling ...

I just HAD to test it out today, so lunchtime I went to Struben to check it out ...
First cast ...ok ....I just love the sencitivity of the line!
Second cast also ok, but THEN the problem started ...
1 out of 5 casts, I will all of a sudden notice a knot in the line ... I retrieved it sloooowly, got the knot out, and then 5 casts later...WHAM ...same thing again ....a knot in the line! :(
I had the same kind of problem, when I've put some mono line on my new reel ... but after about a week, and after cutting off about 25m of line, it didn't happen anymore ...
Might it be that there's tooo much line on my reel??... or WHAT might be the cause of this problem??

Sounds like the classic case of too much line on the reel.
I personally feel there is only only on braid to use and that is spiderwire - I normally purchase in on line from www.basspro.com

Sounds like a wind knot. I get them sometimes on the dropshot rig. Try using a slightly heavier sinker, and make sure the spool is not overfilled. Also try casting "flatter" if that makes any sense.

ok ...first thing I tried this afternoon, was to take some line off ... so far so good ... took about 15m off, and no knots so far ... :)
