Hi Guys,
Did not see much reports on Avanti. So I thought I'll give it a go. I went down there during the Christmas weekend. One thing I must say is it is a very pleasant place. The only problem there was is it was packed by the water. Constant people throwing over your lines.
Showers and toilets were clean, never had to wait once for the shower. The only problem came in by the water.
We caught about 12 Carp in the 2 days, nothing to brag about all under 2 KG. The big ones were in the deep. However each time I took my lines Deep I had some idiot casting right over my lines and the neighbours lines.
I woke up about 8:30 am the Sunday, thought let me give it one last try.
Tried some Tiger Nuts Took the line deep. Amazing enough no one was casting over my line. Line was in the water for about 4 hours when I had the run. Pulled a 6.85 KG Carp, took the lines off it brought in with it. 6.5 KG.
Not sure if it was a great fight or all the lines it dragged behind it. 
I enjoyed the weekend, company was great. I did not worry too much about the fishing.
Planning to go back in February for 7 days. Hoping it will be a bit less packed and try some serious fishing. :fst:
