Assassin Amia microwave guides

FISH ASSASSIN

New member
Good day all fellow Sealiners.

Please see below photo of a damaged guide on my Assassin Amia. As can be seen it looks like someone put a side cutter to bad use...
My first question is, what could have caused this? The rod is cleaned thoroughly after each use and is dried and then stored in the cloth bag that was supplied and then in turn placed in a rod tube. No other rod is stored in this tube. Nobody has been in my fishing cave so could not have been dropped while in storage. The rod has also never been bumped or dropped on any hard surface. I used the rod about a month ago and it was fine, took it out today and this...
I am not pointing fingers in anyway, I just want to prevent this from happening again so please lets not start a mud slinging contest.

Secondly, where can I get the guide replaced in the St Lucia, Richards Bay, Empangeni area?

Thanks in advance.

Had a fight with the wife (;););)) ? I doubt that you will get that repaired anywhere other than Basil Manning. They now have a shop in Balito if that helps.

Unless someone has one lying around you will not be able to replace just the one guide, Microwaves are only available as complete sets ie 1x stripper guide shown, 1x transition guide and then 7x running guides.

You could replace the stripper with a size 20 Fuji Y frame. Roughly the same height as the 20/6 Microwave stripper guide.
