Gent !

Hope u all enjoying the summer fishing again !

I was planning a trip to loskop but out of principle I refuse to go ... U have to pay for three nights this weekend regardless of how long u staying at 375 a night I feel its a total rip off just to camp without electricity ! Daylight robbery !

Anyways enough ranting plan b was mokolo but I'm a little put off by the apparent state of the abultions .. Fine for me but the lovely lady is gracing me with her presence so I'm now looking at arabie.

The last trip was a total dog show so I'm hoping that this time everything goes according to plan and we get decent weather and fishing !

Its my first proper fishing trip there and I really really want to get my girlfriend into some decent bass..
Can anyone help me recover from the last disaster and have my girlfriends confidence in me restored ! Where can I find the little green foosh easily and what baits must I use ?? Any help from the guys who know the dam a little will be more that greatly appreciated ! Shot gents

Hi,

Far up river, past big trees and rocks...

Black horny toads. Watermelon senkos.

Cranks close to tree lines at 10 -15 ft : Morman lavender shad woked for us.

Our first club comp hit a 12.5 kg bag.(biggest bag that year) Closest bag was around 6 kg. All the fish except one was caught on one spot within 2hours. so when you do find fish stick around. All the other guys that day had a hard day finding fish.

Ill keep u posted for sure ! When u say up the river do u mean as in there is a current or do u mean just extremely high up in the dam ?

Yes in the current.

Let the current take the lure. Bass held close to structure while waiting for bait fish to pass with the currents.

Well hit arabie camp area is not bad at all. But came down with a fever tried to fish sat for bass with no luck... Tried worm with no luck except two foul hooked fish. Fishing was tough for everyone so arabie wins again! Had to pack up to get to a doc .... Next time arabie next time
