Ok so were going to aldam this weekend, camp and try to catch some fish, carp or geelvis my friend is what i would call an expert conventional angler and im..... well lets ma say optimistic beginner. i found this site about few months ago and have been learning a lot from you guys can anyone that has had any success catching fish there in the winter please give me some pointers. my friend is kinda stingy on sharing his secrets

Aldam is a tricky dam to fish.

Fish as light as possible as far as you can.

fish very fine deegies and small floats and at night you can use mielies.

Dips Devilsfork , gumtree , fx , banjo and tjop tjop
