morning all,
while fishing last sunday at the vaal ,we were caching a few nice ones when after a few hours it went quiet,i thought that was a bit strange ,so after a bit of thought i threw 6 bombs in he shallows, roughly half a meter deep and within an hour all the bomb was completely dispersed.so what im asking is this ,what do you guys add to the bomb to hold the fish in the area,or add to the bomb so that therell be somehing left in the water once the bomb has broken down.:fishn:ifishin:wfish

Adding some crushed maize (chick chick) and/or whole kernel sweetcorn would leave some food behind. A better option would be to feed more often. If the fish go off the bite, it could be the result of a change in the weather. Could be that they moved deeper or shallower or a catfish could be lurking, looking for an easy meal.

have you tried the bou lyn kollietijie voer, it is in a green packet that is a good mix it disperse much slower than some other brands and has a nice velvet feel to it. also create a nice cloud in the water

the only other thing you can do is to put feed in the water more often to keep the fish in maybe every 45 minutes- hour

@HenryF

I agree with your Boulyn Kolletjie statement. Will never buy the 'yellow packs' again if I can help it. Been using Boulyn since the beginning of this year and never had to add additional koekmeel to let it bind properly. And, my catches increased drasticly.
