99.9% ready

This is my and my brother's little zulu cat. After many years and several disruptions along the way, she is almost ready. She's had a colours change, from red to yellow, new foam, deck & carpets, both motors totally overhauled and many many more.(trailer work)

Now just waiting for the S/S railing and she's set. Passed buoyancy and seaworthy with no prob.

I'll only be able to take her out in December when I'm back, cant wait.

Hi Eric, no I haven't come right with the leg cowling yet. I have kept the "Still Waiting" name from my previous boats and funnily enough a few people have commented.

Mmmm the Landy sticker, lets not go down this road, ha ha ha. I my opinion nothing beats a Toyota Land Cruiser thoughy. Hope I haven't started something here. Can always blame "gerritp".

You can't have the most reliable motors on a boat and a "Land Rover" sticker aswell, its the contradiction of the century.
If you need a sticker, Toyota or Land Cruiser will do, and only those two.

Your brother looks pretty young in the photo how long have you been working on this boat exactly?

 

[Klipdrift]

Well, that's my nephew, and believe you me he was a lot younger when this project began. The boat was previously hand painted with Glatex - 8. Hard work getting off. I've assisted a few older boats back to the water before, but this one for some reason became a project of note.

It turned out well and I'm very happy with the end result and overall weight and condition. Too much money though, as always.

One needs to remember when over hauling an older boat, if you start, the rest is a can of worms. You'll always spend more than you should.
