I purchased this motor from a boatshop in Hartbeespoort in Gauteng. I purchased it for my 3.2m rubber duck, and it is not working as it is just too much power for the boat.
From my view of the motor (and from the owner), the motor has never been in salt water, which is why I purchased it. The cylinder head is spotless and there is almost no corrosion on the rest of the motor body.
I purchased it for R9500, and then spent another R1500 to have it serviced (it was running a bit roughly, apparently had some moisture in the carbs) and then had a general all over service with plugs and fluids replaced (gearbox). The impeller has also been replaced.
I have also spent another R1000 on a brand new petrol tank for it.
Any interest, please message me. The motor is currently in Durban, but I stay in Jhb so there is a chance for me to bring it up as well.
