1st trip of the new season

as someone who does not do to well in the cold i am thinking about getting out there this weekend tago or college dam,my question is it worth it or is still a tad to early in the season. spawning ? will i still get fish?

your opinions much appreciated

Only real way is to go and try. But in my humble opinion it would not be a waste.

The leaves on the trees have already started to blossom so I think now would be a good time to start catching fish
