I decided on Saturday morning to go for a walkabout our farm to look for a nice Reedbuck Ram to shoot for some BILTONG.
So off I went with a mate of mine and his son.
15minutes into the hunt i came across a nice ram sunning himself in the morning sun, So immediately I went in to stalk mode and tried to move in on a good shot, I stalked for around 100m and finally got into a good shooting distance i ranged him at 170yrds.
I took aim and squeezed the trigger of my 308 to see him drop where he stood a great upper shoulder spine shot.
He is not the biggest trophy comming in at 15" just qualifing for a Roland but the body mass was insane weighing 127kgs on the hoof and meat off the bone 65kgs, by far the heaviest Reedbuck I have ever shot....

Great trophy there, and a big bugger he is definitely.
Hung it today
