1/2 BLOOD KNOT

[Enigma]

This is my personal knot of choice for use on all diameter lines from 0.10mm to 0.50mm

The knot is super secure and is in essence the same as the hangman's noose.

Works great with nylon and braid and is one of the securest knots for use with braids, bar the Palomar knot.

STEP 1

Pass the line through the eye of the swivel or hook, follow the path of the mainline with the tag end and then fold it back on itself

STEP 2

Keep the eye at the bend in the tag end open with the index finger and wrap the tag end around all the legs of the snoot

Wrap the tag end 3 times around all the legs with nylon and 6 times with braided lines

STEP 3

Fold the tag end back and through the eye that you have kept open with your index finger

STEP 4

Pull the knot up snugly (not tight)

Slide the knot up to the ring and pull tight and trim the tag end off
