Hi All.
My current boat fishing buddies are getting old now and they are looking to all retire.
this means that new spots are open for serious anglers.
Im from Heidelberg, gauteng and we normally depart from my house to st lucia
it is normally a week to 10 days trip starting from a friday/ saturday and returning on the following saturday/ sunday.
we share costs and food for the whole trip, your dop is for your own pocket.
we are normally 3x up on the boat which leaves some lekker space as it is a seacat 565 fc.
accommodation is arranged and works out to R 250 per person in a flat with air conditioning and daily cleaning.
your costs for such a trip is around R 9000 to R 11000 per person.
This includes, fuel for travelling down with toll fees.
food for the trip.
fuel for fishing trips out to sea.
accommodation and flat cleaning
we normally check the weather to see that it does play ball so that we can go fishing.
Our trips are normally during low season/ out of long weekends/ school holidays.
trips are normally from feb/ march/ april/ may/ june and possible late november/ 1st week in december.
we may only fish for game fish in st lucia so no bottom fishing.
we normally fish 2 x days with a day off and then 2x days, but we have done 5x days in a row.
fuel costs a day is around 60 to 100 liters of petrol and two stroke.
launching permit are R 150 a day and the tractor is R 350 a day
we also have a braai before each trip to discuss the trip and give some ideas as what how/we be fishing.
