I have 2 old Penn 67 reels that are still in (almost) daily use. Got them from Cash Converters at what I thought a reasonable price. The steel spools were what I was after. I spooled them with heavy line and they work nicely as my trolling outfit. The drags were a bit sticky so I overalled them. The one had a 5 drag system and the other one a standard 3 drag. The washers were replaced with home cut leather washers and the 5 drag is awesome. Smooth and strong. I’m a bit disappointed in the other one and want to convert it to a 5 drag system as well. Where can I start to look for the extra brass washers I need for the conversion.
As you can see, I’m on a very restricted budget.

im sure any brass washers will do? maybe buy an old penn somewhere.. they only really provide drag by tightening.. even stainless ones could work?
