Good day all,

As someone that does not visit Sealine often I honestly do feel bad asking its loyal members for advice; however I cannot think of a better place.

I fished with a 14ft Blue Marlin 1 piece for over 10 years, but it got badly damaged.

I would rather not name the store, but a very helpful gentleman at a respected store contacted a Blue Marlin agent who recommended the Blue Marlin C430/6 T24 rod as an ideal replacement.

(I would just like to mention that i plan to stick with a one piece and will also stick with Blue Marlin, if you could keep that i mind regarding any feedback)

The problem i have is that this store does not stock the specific rod, so if they order it i have to buy it, which worries me - what if it does not work for me....

My question; is this too risky? Do i buy the rod "blind" and stick with my believe in the brand and hope that the agent's recommendation is good?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ANY ADVICE YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE!!!

Ladies/Gents,

Thank you to those who read my post - not an easy one to give advice on.

I just came back to mention that I called Blue Marlin directly and got some great service and advice. Based on their recommendation I am buying the rod - better to catch nothing with a Blue Marlin than to catch nothing without a Blue Marlin!!!!

All of the best!
