Thanks for the awesome tut on how to make lures. Always watched youtube videos but never seen how to make it in South Africa. you should post some videos on the tube.LOL.
Would love you chat to you in person, if you ever visit LUCKYS MANABA give me shout.
1) How do you colour the lure head with a colour on the top?
2) I see one of your lure pics has a "hook lock", how to make?
3) What type of colorant can be used? can normal colorant from a craft shop work?

1 - Lay the lure mould on its side and pour some coloured resin in. Once it cures, stand it up and fill with clear or second colour.

2- I mould hook locks. Made my own moulds with mold max 30 then I use industrial PU to cast them. If you drive past, I'll give you some.

3 - You can actually use ordinary 2k paint mixed into resin for colour.

4 - You can use MM without vaccuuming it.

5 - Call AMT Composites in Pinetown. 031 705 2034

Any reason why the heads are made in PU and not silicone? I see some suppliers make soft heads, are these silicon based?

I make the heads from clear polyester resin not Polyurethane. If you have a degassing and/or pressure chamber you can get the clear soft PU from AMT. Very expensive and i dont believe youll catch more fish with a soft head. Its a gimmick. All the top lures in the world besides moldcraft are hard heads.
