RUBBERDUCK STOLEN

A friend of mine had his rubberduck stolen out of his yard last week, the theft occured in broad daylight whith his aged mother at home, she never noticed anything amiss untill she went outside and saw the gate wide open, this is when she noticed the empty space where the boat should be.Here is a brief description of the boat. pontoons grey and blue, white F.O.R. hull, 40hp yamaha motor long shaft, silver trailer, small white consol, boat length 4,2m. The sad part is the boat wasnt insured and he is not in a position to replace it. He just had new pontoons fitted, the motor overhauled and the prop sent away to be refurbd, the prop he has not received back yet and now has to pay for something that is of no use to him, this man has had crap luck all his life and really doesnt deserve this, so guys and gals keep your ears to the ground, perhaps he can have a little luck for a change and get his boat back.

This really sucks, i have had my home burgled, 2 bakkies stolen, my wife's car stolen, my wife robbed in cape town  about ten street children where they ripped a gold chain off her neck with a knife against her throat in broad daylight, my sons motorcycle and car stolen, robbed on the n1 when he had a breakdown and then stabbed in his knees for having the audacity to fight back, when he eventually laid a charge of armed robbery the policeman told him if he cannot prove it was areal gun it is robbery common. The letter the sent him states that the senior prosecutor refused to convict or carry on with the case because of a lack of evidence, now the way i know things are supposed to happen is as soon as an arrest is made a "uitkennings parade " is held, this never happened, and this document was signed by a captain. But be sure of one thing i will not leave this  lying.

sorry to hear about your losses Alwyn, and good on you to fight it. take your case to the commisioner of police, and if you're not happy with their assistance, go directly to the minister. If you persist, you Will succeed.

Good luck Alwyn. Maybe things in CT is different. Over here they just loose the file and the case gets throwed out of court.

I was hoping when the socca subsided things was going to change direction. Nothing changed.

they jumped my inlaws fence, kicked the front door in, while the old grandma was in her flat, stole my wife's new laptop with all her new business invoices and client detail, all mother in law's jewellery and a few other things and then disappeared again.

Hi Alwyn,

I grew up in Edgemead and moved away from there 6 months ago. Was the boat stolen in Edgemead?
