I will be going to Seychelles 14 to 23 May, courtesy of a mate who has a place in Eden Island (Mahe) and a 23 foot American sports fisher!

The main target will be doggies and gt on jigs, some trolling for billfish and popping for GT's.

As we are using a private vessel we do not unfortunately get the benefit of the local knowledge and as such was hoping that my fellow sealiners could assist with some suggestions (way points etc) for especially the jigging and popping parts.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

hey bluflu, theres the banks called stork and pilot patches in the north, think its about 20 miles from eden island, great fishing. also bird island is unbelievable, 60 miles from eden. doggies that u cant stop with a stella 10000, and they pop 1.2mm leader! insane fishing, i caught a saily on dropshot last november, got smashed by some monster gts aswell. caught a doggie whilest we were anchored in 6m of water, but casting onto the dro off.
we also had a feww reef sharks nailing our gt ice creams, was awesome to watch, they are so fast but unfortunately lost a fair amount of tackle. i will be there end of april so i will give u a bit of feedback.....
