Howzit guys,

I was just wonder what has happened to the Red eye Sardines, i cant seem to get my hands on any. Do any of u guys know where i can get some, for the last 3 months, red eye stock has been few and far between, and nobody seems to able to give me a logical answer???:X Also due to the inavailabilty of these elusive sard's, the price seems to have sky rocketed (I understand supply and demand), but to pay nearly R5's a sard, when i can get them, seems almost ridiculous??? I have standing orders with 3 tackle shops:shock:!!! So can any of u guys please help me understand this peculiar situation???

Howzit Mel, five rand for red-eye is not as bad as paying eight rands which a bud of mine paid.

What about the sugar mackerel, they are also scarce!

Yeah rite on....but there is a tackle shop owner in Chatsworth who caught 4 good size grunter (approx 4-5kg) last week in an "estuary".  This is a highly top secret location, so apart from that "unghaaz baba" even his bait used was highly classified/top secret.

He has offered to take me with on his next outing....probably with blind folds though...lol :()

Hope to see you on Saturday

Zeyn

Fish have livers and kidneys!

Grunter have very efficient ones. If the water is bad, they wouldn't be there.

What is in the water that is worrying you?

Cheers

(Which tackle shop do you own?)

Kingfisher have redeye (caught today) in stock.

They look like the ones that were at the bottom of the net though!

(The 'main-manne-wat-count' get the pick of the crop I suppose)

Hi MickJack

I stopped over at kingfisher on Friday, to stock up on some tackle and surprise surprise, to my good fortune and astonishment, RED EYES, stocked to the brim, so i bought a whole lot, cos i'm going on an fishing 'expedition' to Cape Vidal this weekend...My fishing buddies were just as astonished as i. And dont know how the news got out, but another buddy of mine went in on Saturday morning, and shockingly, Red eye out of stock. So just my GOOD LUCK, hope the luck stays with me on my trip to Vidal. The sard's were really tiny though, but good enough for a whole red eye bait... Thanks for the information Mick, its highly appreciated...
