Hi guys, when I last went deep sea off Durban , caught a Rockcod species that I wasn’t sure of, the photo of this fish was caught from a charter but it’s the same species as what I caught. I first thought a cat face or a malabar but there aren’t any markings, if anyone knows the species, so I looked for other species such as the Greasy Rockcod and that’s the closest I’ve come to identifying it, but I’m still not sure ,pls reply if you can identify it, thanks Attachment: 81010FBB-D8BB-407C-B923-B4E01D4B67D7.jpeg (Downloaded 93 times)

I also thought that but there arent any spots on the body, and its not the usual elongated body shape, when it gets to that size
