The New Baby is finally here

Hi all. I was searching for the best part of 3 years for a boat to replace my old RIB, finally I found the one :dban:

The spec was for a 17 to 18ft cat that would float in as little water as possible, (our Moz launch site has a extended sand bank) would be easy to fish from, stable in bigger seas and not to expensive....

We soon narrowed it down to a Kosi Cat 17 CC and finally found a 2016 model with all the extras.

Then finally the time came for our annual Moz trip. I was extremely worried about the first launch, would she float in shallow water, would she be stable, broach, cavitate.....etc.

Our first launch with her went far too easy, this hull design is really special and she seems to float on air, no issue turning and pushing in with a very shallow sand bank and a nasty shore brake.

I was highly impressed with how fast she got out of the hole on those 2 90's, even got her to plane on one motor!!

later in the morning we headed back with a big following sea and she never felt like broaching.

This is a great little boat ::tclaph
