Dorado75--- Man thats a difficult one But I would have to stay yes- for the simple reason that is. There is no stretch in braid so when one loop climbs over another you cant stretch the one to help the other. I will not say it is far more difficult. But also the overwind tends to be less than with mono with the same explanation as above --- due to no stretch the overwind does not climb below a lot of loops and only maybe one or two.
How long do the rod guides last- I don't know BUT in all years of fishing braid never broke a guide or had the center come out or a groove cut into a tip. Standard guides on all rods bought off the shelf
