Hello All

Can anyone please help me with the correct air screw adjustments. The older service manual states 7/8 turns out.
The manual I have is for the pre 2008 models with carb model starting 6L 103 and mine is the 6L 105.

I had a problem where my motor did not want to idle after running perfect for a couple of years. I removed the carbs and cleaned them. Ran perfect after I took it out for a test run. Air screws were adjusted as it was previously set at a Yamaha dealership.

When I inspected my spark plugs I noticed that 3 cylinders were running a bit rich and the 1 looked perfect. I also noticed that the 1 cylinder that looked perfect that the air screw was turned out less than the other 3 cylinders. Correct me if I am wrong, if you turn the air screw out ( anti clockwise ) do you make the mix more rich and by turning in ( clockwise ) you lean the mix.

Motor detail = 2008 Yamaha Beto (6n78)

Thanks and regards Ray.
