What spinning reel should I get?

I have a purglass 300/3 2 piece rod that I haven't used for a long time. I used to use a Abu Morrum 7700 on that rod but I want to try it with a spinning reel (grinder).

What size reel should I get? 6000 or 8000?

what length? how oftern will it see the ocean?

if 11ft - Penn battle 3 5000 is an awesome choice
if its gonna see the ocean very frequently, maybe go saragosa

Hoping to fish a few times a year - spinning and bait fishing. Went spinning with the Purglas 10ft rod and Abu M7700L reel and it was hard work casting that setup with a spinners and plugs all day. It's a casting setup so not ideal for spinning. I've also read that a casting rod like the purglas isn't designed for a grinder style reel.

I'm now looking at either the Daiwa BG power spin 11.6ft 3 piece, 65g - 135g rod and Adrenalin Swage 5000 reel or Loomis & Franklin HMG Archipelago STX XH 3 piece with a Swage 5000.

The alternative within my budget is a Penn Clash 5000 currently selling for R2300 which is a good price but then I'd look for a cheaper rod to stay within my budget of around R3500.

I am leaning towards a better quality rod and good value reel like the Adrenalin Swage.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't see the loomis and sedona special but settled on the loomis & franklin 11ft Archipelago XH 3pc and penn battle 3 5000. I bought from bilimoria and it should arrive tomorrow or Tuesday.

Today I also picked up a shimano stradic 5000 fi for a good price at a local fleamarket. It needs a service but otherwise I believe it was well priced.
