Hi guys
Myself, ebs and Snapper decided to take our bonus day yestertday. our day started nice and early at 330am, all met at my place got sorted and off to the beach we went. decided to fish strandfontein at the palletjies for the sunrise, conditions were horrific but wet a line just for the pass time waitin for the low tide. fair to say nothing much happened there.
Low tide and we were off to muizenberg to get some bait, ie bloodworm and prawn. i ended up with the task of getting the bloodworm as the other 'ladies' were scared of getting wet. and i can tell you its no joke pumping quota for 5 anglers all by your lonesome.. finished pumping at 10am and hit the long road to Hangklip.
When we arrived in Hangklip we struggled to open the doors of the bakkie as the wind was pumping hardcore. we made the great trek to the spot and lines in. had to throw a 7oz sinker just cast over the kelp! shortly after ebs goes vas with a nice gallie on his 10ft exage rod and lands a 35cm beauty. only to realise that we forgot the camera quite a distance away in the car. after that it was dead for the rest of the day. wind got even stronger and was starting to blow us from the rocks and called it a day at 530pm.
So it was a mombak for our bonus day but nontheless a great experience.. there still time for redemption the weekend though! conditions looking shweeet!
