Seems to me aquadementia (Alias Chris) rules that thread eh. Well done boet, I like that you catch different species too, not just sharks and edibles. Some exceptional catches there from a lot of anglers.

I cought a blue curper (Tilapia Mozambique) in bilene lake, yes in the salt. Does it qualify as a record :-D

Also cought a half beak and a couple of others most of which I don't know the names.

Fanie post them, then we will sort them out for you. About the blue kurper... Think it belong to the freshwater section

If I fish a fresh water comp and I catch a Zambi that swam upstream, you say it's not going to count ?

LOL but looking at the technical aspect of it I'll say yes.

I mean what is there normal habitat?

Hi Riaan,

I'm just being difficult. Them blues are fresh water fish but they adapt to salt water when they gets rinsed in there. It is funny though, catching them in between the salt water fish. I once read an article on this, they recon there's a chance those blou kurpers could become massively big in salt water. You'd go to sea to get a new fresh water record... :-O

Be nice if a zambi or two gets caught in Harties for a change, although they would probably die from the polution... :-D

This makes for some interesting reading... 4000km upstream eh.  That's it, I'm not wading anywhere ever again ;-)
