Roodeplaat Bassing

Guys

I'm looking at going to Roodeplaat on the 12th of May, to hunt some LGF.  Anyone who would like to join in the Hunt, you're most welcome to join.

I unfortunately don't have any space on "DADUCKY" but nonetheless, join in, if you have some floatation device please indicate, so that some-one who might not have such a thing can perhaps get hold of you so that they can also join in the hunt?

If anyone's interested and needs info, directions time etc. please let me know, and I'll post it?

Boet the last reports I heard (from two days ago) is that it's not all that bad, I haven't been there myself for quite sometime, but I stay at the back of the Dam and will go check it out this afternoon and will then tell you's what it looks like tomorrow, but that they are boating LGF's, that's no lie, they are there and they are cooming out.

I am happy to report that I managed to have gone and looked at the water at Roodeplaat yesterday and dare I say, the water is rather clear with NO green algae anywhere to be seen and also NO hyacinth.

Having said that, the water level is also the lowest that I've seen Roodeplaat in 18 years, on the Aventura side of the Old Northern Transvaal Fishing grounds (that's where I went to check the water) the drop in water-levels seems to be between 2 1/2 and 3 meters.

Dunno if this is good or bad for hunting LGF, but somewhere there seems to be little bird that reminds me that the clear water and the dropped levels combination makes for good Bassing, I might be wrong.

Again, anybody wanting to join us tomorrow, you are MOST welcome, I'll be at the Gate on the Moloto road (entrance to the Main Nature Reserve and the Rowing club) at about 05:45 if not earlier.  Look for the green Conquest thats a bit overloaded....

You've got me sympathies man, woulda been nice to get tha social thingy bigger every time we go out, by adding at least one new member, but like I said we'll catch ya on tha next one......

The "Bosses" son is with us for the weekend and he twisted her arm yesterday on their way from school to go bass hunting on the weekend.  I explained that it's her B-day party at her sisters on Sat and so he then decided that Sun the 20th is fine and also sommer invited the neighbour standing next to him  aswell, so Sunday coming apparently, I didn't really have a choice ITO THE VENUE, man, I would have chosen to go hunting anyway, we are going to be at Roodeplaat again, and we'll really be puting "DADUCKY" through her paces and strengths (hopefully not weaknesses) as we'll be 4 on her pounding da waves and them GREEN THANGS. Maybe my Bud can finally boat that STEAM TRAIN he lost last Sat.

So anybody interested in Joining, let me know and if you need info on what to bring ito tackle/lures and if you need directions, I'll gladly give it to you.

See, you's there, and comeon it's only chilly until just after the frist hour of daylight then it gets a lot warmer, so see you at six, SIX ON THE WATER THAT IS!!!!!!
