Recent Catches

Hi Guys

Thought I would share some of our recent catches.

Stumpy around 1.5kg - Caught on crackers,very light tackle..disappointingly the circle hook came off as I landed it. Still trying to convert myself from J hooks..

Grunter around 2 kg. On Sardine,strange as I had crackers on the top hook yet he went for the sards.

And the black tails always keeping you busy the rest of the time.

Another stumpy -On Sardine

I had fun with this fish, came over the reef fairly well.. soon as I got it into the rock pools that i was standing above ( rock pools around 2 m deep all around, with an incoming tide constantly washing in an out ) I started to get nervous, and tried all the tricks to keep the line from breaking. I even got in and out the water a few times and after brusing my leg properly I eventually walked the fish out. Not my biggest stumpy but still a great catch.

And the most recent one - Also on Sards - Off the surf so the fight is a lot easier than the rocks- still an awesome sight when you see the white belly on the sand after the last wave breaks over.

Sadly I sent this one to Jozi for some very lucky family members.
