Problem

I have been using Firefox to browse Sealine since I've started, this morning I got this warning everytime I try to refresh a page or open a new one.

I can not even post anything, now I had to start using Opera just to type this.

Someone please look into it.

On Firefox, when I go to

Tools>Options>Security I had to switch of the "Block reported attack sites" & "Block reported web forgeries" to get Sealine working again.

Seems we have been classified by Google as a "Bad Site"

Nice idea Koper, but it still does not clarify whether there is indeed malicous code somewhere on Sealine ... AND it will then also allow me to access true "Bad Sites".

It makes me worry since it is now compulsory to add your true name and telephone number to your profile over an unencrypted connection - where will it end up at???

Nothing serious, program installed to warn us at ADMIN of these spammers and unwanted sites that places ads and links, and instead of just giving a warning on the admin side it now comes up on the forum.

I can't access Sealine through Firefox either, I get the same red page as Mousedog, but the browser freezes. I have to use google chrome, which I hate.

Is there anyway that this can be stopped, I really don't want to have to change security settings, because I have it set like this for a reason. Also, a couple of times now when I log onto Sealine, Avast pops up with a warning saying threat detected and that it has blocked something from downloading a file. It doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen, and only on Sealine.

I've run several scans on my system with Avast and Malwarbytes, so far nothing, I'm scanning again with Sophos Anti Rootkit, but I don't think it'll find anything. Is this related to the software Simen was talking about, or is it something different?

Just an update, Google Chrome does it too, red screen warning about safety of the site, but it doesn't freeze and it will let me in if I add the site to the safe list...

Hi Guys.

We do not host or distribute any form of malware or virus on our server or sealine's pages. Please be be patient, we are working on getting this issue resolved. My apologies for any inconvience caused.

Thanks Emps, I'm quite sure no one thinks Sealine hosts things like that, I just thought it would be useful if you guys knew that Avast Antivirus does say it has blocked something, that it calls a trojan, when I log on. Bear in mind that Avast is known for false positives, it's a good antivirus but does often give false alarms.

I'm sure you guys will get it sorted!! I know how frustrating computers can be...Especially when friends and family only pay you with a beer or two to fix them...

Safe to say that it's harmless/false positive, because I've run scans with Malwarebytes Anti Malware, Avast, Spyware Terminator, and then the big gun, Sophos Anti Rootkit, and it's all clean, so maybe the program that Simen was talking about is causing the Antivirus programs to register a false positive. It happens.

Same thing happens with me if I google.

Use Yahoo web search and it work without any warnings or blocked web pages, didn't even change my security setting.
