Hi All

 

I know this might be hard but is is possible for someone to ID these fish for me?

I caught 4 of them in the shallows while catching tadepoles for my tropical fish.

They are about 20mm long and was caught in a small dam close to home (JHB).

Hope some of the experts can help?

looks like a cyprinid. maybe carp?

I will try and get some better photo's over the weekend but the mouth does not look like a carp but its not impossible.

It looks like a baby Carp.

They ARE baby Carp, commons

mouth structure and fleshy lips develop as they grow and feeding habits change.

Grown many carp in tanks before
