NSRI Costs

I know that the NSRI is run by unpaid volunteers and that they depend on us (public) for donations--but if someone have to be recued--who carries the costs ?

 

Surely if the NSRI have to depend on donations allone , then I believe that the money comming in won`t be enough to keep them running.

A quote from their website "Donations and sponsorships cover our annual running cost of R27.5m. The volunteers save us a salary bill in excess of R250m per annum"

As you can see they do depend on our generosity to be able to provide this service.

It's up to the rescued person to make a donation or not. Obviously the right thing to do would probably be to donate something if you can but they are not going to send you a bill.
